PARTS
LOCALISATION PROGRAMS
Through these technical collaborations
UCM has significantly achieved various programs of part localization for OEM car
assemblers in Malaysia, in line with government local content policy.
MILITARY
VEHICLES AIR-COND DEVELOPMENT
In 2002, UCM was proudly selected
by Malaysian Arm Forces, with the full approval of Minsitry of Defense, to design
and develop a complete air-conditioning system for Malaysia Infantry Fighting
Vehicles (MIFV). This was in line with the Malaysia Governing Police, in particular,
for the defence strategies to achieve the part localization program. During the
design, development and testing stages, UCM design and development team practically
had to live together with the army technical personnel to experience how the fighting
vehicle operates, under the simulated combative environment and conditions. UCM
designed and developed air-conditioning systems passed the tests with excellent
results. In
2011, we are proud to be selected by Deftech once again to design and developed
a complete air-conditioning system for the AV8 project, in line with the part
localization program. We have started the initial stage of concept design and
development of the complete air-conditioning system for the AV8 project. With
our past 20 over years experience in designing and development automotive air-conditioning
systems for cars, buses and military fighting vehicles, we have the full confidence
to complete the AV8 air-conditioning project, in accordance to the schedule. |
